Regulations
If boarding is denied, or if your flight is cancelled or delayed by at least two hours, or if your luggage is lost or damaged, you may be entitled, under the Air Passenger Protection Regulation, to certain benefits and compensation. Delayed, damaged, or lost baggage
If your baggage is delayed, damaged, or lost upon arrival:
- Contact the airport baggage service as soon as possible.
- File a compensation claim by completing the claims form on our website.
- French bee’s liability is limited to 1,288 special drawing rights per passenger (about $2,400 CAD) for baggage.
- The fees for delayed, damaged, or lost baggage will be refunded.

Information on delays or cancellations
If your flight is delayed or cancelled, we will do our best to keep you informed:
- Status updates every 30 minutes until the new departure time or until alternatives are found.
- New information as soon as possible.
- If you are traveling on a codeshare flight operated by another airline, contact the carrier directly.
Extended delay or cancellation
Our agents will do their best to assist you in case of a delay or cancellation.
1. Handling Standards
In the event of a delay or cancellation for safety reasons or under our control, and if you were informed of the delay or cancellation less than 12 hours before the departure time, we will provide free of charge:
Food and drinks in reasonable quantities.
Access to a means of communication.
Hotel or accommodation and transportation for passengers from outside the city, if necessary.
2. Other travel arrangements
If your flight is cancelled or delayed by more than 3 hours for reasons beyond our control:
- A confirmed reservation on our next available flight within 48 hours, or
- Rerouting with another carrier in case of unavailability.
In the event of travel disruption, a return flight to your point of origin will be offered free of charge.
3. Compensation
You are entitled to compensation in case of cancellation or delay caused by us and not for safety reasons, unless you were informed 14 days or less before departure.
Compensation amounts:
- $125 CAD for a delay of 3 to 6 hours,
- $250 CAD for a delay of 6 to 9 hours,
- $500 CAD for a delay of 9 hours or more.
If the journey is no longer useful, a minimum compensation of $125 CAD is possible.
Denied boarding
If boarding is denied, we will seek volunteers to give up their seats. In the case of involuntary denial, compensation is provided:
Compensation amounts:
- $900 CAD for a delay of less than 6 hours,
- $1,800 CAD for a delay of 6 to 9 hours,
- $2,400 CAD for a delay of more than 9 hours.
Seat assignment for children
We will assist with assigning seats nearby for children under 14 years old traveling with an accompanying adult at no extra charge.
