Prior to departure, the traveler must ensure that he/she is in possession of all travel documents required to cross the borders of the departure, arrival and transit countries where applicable. It is the traveler's sole responsibility to check that they are due and valid in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, and if necessary to request their renewal within the allotted time.
To facilitate check-in procedures, we recommend that travelers bring a valid passport for travel. Some countries may require (but the following list is not exhaustive), a valid passport, visa, proof of parentage, health and customs documents, proof of adequate insurance, hotel reservations or proof of accommodation as well as minimum means of subsistence and proof (ticket or proof of departure from the destination).
Travelers may consult the IATA Travel Center to check the documentary requirements to which they are subject.
The information contained on the IATA Travel Center website may be erroneous or incomplete. Air Caraïbes therefore declines all responsibility for the use of IATA Travel Center services. We therefore recommend that travellers contact the consular authorities or any other competent authority in order to draw up a list of the documents they will need for their trip. Air Caraïbes reserves the right to refuse transportation to passengers who do not possess the necessary documents.
As Air Caraïbes is not obliged to check all travel documents, the transit or destination country may immediately return a passenger to his/her country of departure if he/she has not complied with the documentary requirements of said country. The traveler will also be liable for any fees or fines that may be imposed on Air Caraïbes as a result of his or her transportation and resulting from the absence of one or more of the documents required by the country of departure, transit or arrival.

Bahamas Customs and the Ministry of Finance have launched a new app called "EXEMPT" (App Store for iOS / Play Store for Android).
As of June 12, 2023, anyone traveling to the Bahamas, whether a returning resident or a visitor, is required to fill out a Bahamas Customs Declaration Form (Form C17).
This form is mandatory and must be filled out electronically prior to arrival in the territory. This application requires a one-time registration using an e-mail address and a confidential password.
The traveler must access the account tab, clicking on "Update", scan their passport and the application will enter the passport information, such as NIB information and date of birth.
Once the account is officially active, the traveler must select form C-17 to complete his customs declaration in the "EXEMPT" application.
He must enter all his flight information, select the items to be declared from the drop-down pane and indicate their value. If the declared value does not exceed 100USD, there will be no tax to pay. Above 100USD the customer will have to pay customs taxes, which they can either pay online via the app or pay, on the spot, on arrival at their destination after collecting their luggage.
If the traveler has nothing to declare, they tick the box provided.
All passengers aged 13 and over must have their own account to make their declaration.
Minors under 13 can be integrated into their parent or legal guardian's account.
