For lithium ion batteries for portable electronic devices (including medical electronic devices, rated energy in Watt-hours between 100 Wh and 160 Wh. For portable medical electronic devices only, lithium metal batteries with lithium metal content between 2 g and 8 g. Devices in checked baggage must be completely switched off and protected from damage.
Note: For safety reasons (following numerous incidents), it is strongly advised to keep these types of devices in your carry-on baggage.

In the case of lithium metal batteries, the lithium metal content must not exceed 2 g, and in the case of lithium ion batteries, the nominal energy in Watt-hours must not exceed 100 Wh. Appliances in checked baggage must be completely switched off and protected against damage. Each person is limited to a maximum of 5 AEPs. When luggage is equipped with a lithium battery, other than a lithium button cell, the battery must be removable. When presented as checked baggage, the battery must be removed and carried in the cabin.
